In this unit Ann meets Mr Fire. Well, as his name so inconspicuously implies this person fires. What or who? Well, people from their jobs, of course. But, no worries, Ann is a  resourceful woman and she can take care of herself perfectly well.

Do you know how to pronounce the number 11 with standard American English pronunciation? You had better learn it fast. Who knows? You might get trapped in an elevator with a voice-recognition software and this skill can come in really handy then.

27. Job interview

How to impress your future boss or bosses at a job interview? Well, they always say: just be yourself. Okay, kinda. But also be normal and try to look like someone they really want to employ. Ann will try to do that in this chapter. We’ll see if she succeeds. And now you will get the chance to learn all the adjectives that refer to personality features, good or bad. Make room in your brain for lots of new vocabulary.
